After years of talking about it and finally filming it, ‘Warcraft’ will be hitting theaters June 10, 2016. Take a look at the teaser released today below for Duncan Jones’ highly-anticipated film adaptation of the “Warcraft” gaming franchise.
Although only fifteen seconds in length, the teaser gives us a brief idea of what to expect from the full trailer as well as the movie itself, with some stunning footage. The full version of this trailer is slated to go online on Friday sometime after it debuts at Blizzcon, the annual Blizzard Entertainment Convention in Anaheim CA. Also released today was a new synopsis of the film:
The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home. ‘Warcraft’ starring Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinsky and Daniel Wu will hit theaters on June 10th, 2016.
