Enjoy this Holiday Season in Historic Old Town Pocatello for First Friday Art Walk, this Friday from 5-8pm. Stroll through Old Town and the Historic Warehouse District and enjoy the variety of art, live music, fashion, and food. The Citizens Community Bank Old Town Trolley will also be available providing rides to each area of Art Walk until 8pm. After Art Walk, be sure to stay for dinner. Old Town is the center for International Cuisine. Our restaurants are all locally owned and operated and you can taste the difference! Menus include Thai, Japanese, Italian, Greek, Middle Eastern, and Indian, just to name a few. Try something new or enjoy your favorite dish in Old Town Pocatello!
Historic Warehouse District
The Museum of Clean, 711 S. 2nd, will feature a husband and wife art show with Kenny and Carol Myers. Kenny is a photographer and Carol is a watercolor painter and instructor.
Portneuf Valley Brewing, 615 S. 1st, will be showing new photography of Africa, grizzly bears, bald eagles and landscapes by Craig Tinkham. Live music that evening will be Steelhead Redd. No cover.
Eastside Old Town
The Gallows, 140 S. 4th, will host painter Wendy Persch who will show mixed media and oil paintings.
Westside Old Town
The Shady Lady, 655 N. Arthur, will be featuring artist Ron Lewis and his “Whimsical Hand Sculpted Holiday Characters”, also enjoy “The Artistry of Holiday Decorating” by The Ladies. Join us for holiday cheer, music and hot spicy tea!
Pocatello Co-op Natural Foods Market, 515 N. Main, will host Winter Fest, featuring six local artists and their hand crafted wood work, jewelry, home goods, clothing and more – perfect holiday gifts! Swing in for art, appetizers and fun!
Muse Boutique Salon & Spa, 501 N. Main Street, presents a Steam Punk Christmas Fashion Show. Muse Salon is showcasing their artistry in hair and make-up. The fashion shows are at 6pm, 6:30pm and 7pm. Refreshments.
American Family Insurance, 427 N. Main, Ste A, will be showing artwork by Pocatello High School students.
Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main, will be hosting The Holiday Show and Sale, consisting of SE Idaho artists, exhibiting and selling one-or-a-kind jewelry, porcelain, silk, glass and oil and water art continues. A reception will be sponsored by the Art Center
Main Street Music, 401 N. Main, to welcome musician Scott Balsai. There will be a group show of a variety of artwork from local artists.
Katz Kreationz & Crafts, 362 N. Main, will be hosting Penni Crosland from American Falls and her bead work creations.
Mr. Vaughn’s Emporium, 326 N Main, will host woodworker Bill Horsley from Wood Canyon Woodworks. Bill makes unique bird houses from a variety of items.
Great Harvest Bread Company, 250 N. Main, will host will feature Kevin Taylor with Taylor Rocks and Silversmithing.
Old Town Mercantile & Antiques, 134 N. Main, invites you to join them for a fun open house to celebrate the expansion of their upstairs, which was the Carlyle Hotel in the early 1900’s. Stop by for some refreshments and some wonderful Pocatello history!
Studio118, 118 N. Main, will be featuring a new artist, Jeff Davies, along with Gail Dial, Jan Smith, Pam Lawson and Celeste Otasua.
Gate City Fine Art Gallery, 315 W. Center, will host local artists.
FishTale Creative, 315 W. Center, will host an exciting collaboration of works by LD, Lori Piccolo and Courtney Fisher.
The Black Rail Antiques & Collectibles, 312 W. Center, will welcome the musical melodies of the Clifftones and artist Augusta Scheetz.
1st Person Games, 320 W Center, will be hosting Bob Beason showing off his artwork and doing Characaters.
DeckadencE Board Shoppe, 326 W. Center, will be hosting Addison from Anchor Graffiti. Addison is a young, local, up-and-coming Graffiti artist who will be displaying artwork that she has done on several skateboard decks using many of the Graffiti art supplies that are sold at the shop.
Mind Your Own Beadness, 103 S. Main, will be celebrating their last Art Walk. Please stop by and wish Carol well, have some wonderful refreshments, stock up on unique one of a kind jewelry and dance! We will miss their enthusiasm and energy during future Art Walks.
The Orange and Black Store, 123 S. Main, is hosting a holiday blast from the past with artists & crafters from past Art Walks showing their creations with many available for purchase. Join them for coffee, cocoa and treats.
The Pocatello Elks Lodge, 410 S. Main, invites the community to an antique appraising event during First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 8 pm. Local area antique dealers will be on hand to appraise and assess your antiques. These experienced dealers have a collected 80 years of antiquing experience and are affiliated with several antique stores in Pocatello and Idaho Falls. Do you have “Trash or Treasure?” There will be no buying or selling of items as this event is for appraisals only. $2.00 admission will enable you to bring up to 3 items to be appraised. Please bring your hand-carry items to the Elks Lounge. From the parking lot enter in the back door and go downstairs. Dinner with a wide selection from the kitchen menu will be available. All proceeds for this event will go to the various Elks Veterans and Youth charities.
January 1, 2016 is the First Friday of January. Due to the New Year’s Day Holiday, the next First Friday Art Walk will be hosted on Friday, February 5. Have a safe and very Happy New Year!
