Visit Historic Old Town Pocatello for First Friday Art Walk this Friday, from 5-8pm. Enjoy a variety of art and entertainment by artists from Pocatello and beyond, while exploring 24 incredibly dedicated businesses, galleries and restaurants. Plan to stay in Old Town for a delicious dinner with selections from around the world at any one of our authentic international restaurants. The night life will continue with live music and cold beverages throughout Old Town, both the east and west sides. We look forward to seeing you! Art Walk Locations – Eastside Old Town
Portneuf Valley Brewing, 615 S.1st, to welcome Bret Gordon, Steve Byers and Chad Waller with their new band called Gate City Sound, playing in the Loft from 9 – 11:30pm, no cover.
West Side Players, 1009 2nd Ave, will present the hilarious comedy “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead” by Tom Stoppard. Shows every Friday and Saturday during July. Enjoy Dinner and a dhow, or just the show. www.westsideplayers.org or 208-234-2654
Pocatello Co-op, 308 E. Center, will host painter Tirazheh Eslami, who will share Persian history, paintings, prints and jewelry. Tirazheh is a graduate student in the ISU Department of Art.
Art Walk Locations – Westside Old Town
The Shady Lady, 655 N. Arthur, will be featuring artist Ron Lewis.
The Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main, will be hosting a new special exhibit of local photographer Roger Boe and poet Will Petersen. They will share their work inspired by Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve. A variety of artwork with the theme of “Vacation Vistas” created by Pocatello Art Center members, and the personal pottery of Augusta Scheetz will also be on display. The show will continue through July.
Main Street Music, 401 N. Main, will host painter David Wagnon, and musician Chloe Brunson who will sing and play the acoustic guitar.
The Grecian Key Restaurant, 314 N. Main, will have live music Friday evening beginning at 7:30pm. The patio will be open for dinner during First Friday Art Walk.
Main Steam Coffee, 234 N. Main, will showcase art from Caleb Marble.
Old Town Mercantile and Antiques, 134 N. Main, will be featuring jewelry maker Laurie Carlson. Laurie works with silver and stone. Music for the evening will be singer and song writer Michael Corigan. Refreshments will be served.
Vain & Vintage, 149 N. Main, to welcome jewelry artist Laurie Reale. Refreshments will be served.
Studio 118, 118 N. Main, will be showing work of local metal artists.
Gate City Fine Arts Gallery, 315 W. Center, will host a group show by local artists, as well as sculpture by Stan Gates.
Black Rail Antiques, 312 W. Center, will welcome Rail City Jazz 40’s swing jazz band.
Orange and Black Store, 123 S. Main, will welcome a local artist.
American Family Insurance, 437 N. Main, will be showing art by Gene Sherman.
