Coordinator, First Friday Art Walk
Come stroll through the Old Town area on Friday for First Friday Art Walk. From 5-8pm take in the variety of art, live music, fashion and food.
In conjunction with First Friday Art Walk, Old Town Pocatello is introducing a new monthly event called Second Chance Saturday. The Saturday following Art Walk you will have the opportunity to see some of the artist’s works that will be shown on Friday night. Please note the businesses who will be participating have a Second Chance Saturday note included in their listing below. We hope by adding this second chance to view Art Walk you have another opportunity to enjoy your downtown.
After Art Walk and Second Chance Saturday, be sure to stay for dinner. Old Town is the center for International Cuisine. Our restaurants are all locally owned and operated and you can taste the difference! Menus include Thai, Japanese, Italian, Greek and Indian, just to name a few. Try something new or enjoy your favorite dish in Old Town Pocatello.
Historic Warehouse District
Portneuf Valley Brewing, 615 S. 1st, will feature painter Blake Thornton. There will be live music in The Loft. Music begins at 8:30pm with no cover. Second Chance Saturday.
Eastside Old Town
Pocatello Co-op, 308 E. Center, NEW LOCATION!! To host painter Cherryn from Idaho Falls. Aubri Matkin, mix media art.
Gallows Gallery and Frames, 150 S. 4th, will be featuring, Shellee Linholm contemporary wildlife artist. They will also be holding their first coloring night.
The Bannock County Historical Museum is going to be on the First Friday Art Walk Tour! Free admission for one hour, Friday July 1st. Catch the Old Town Trolley at 6 PM at the Old Town Pavilion and it will deposit you at the Museum. We have on exhibit our donor wall, featuring artwork by Tim Norton, 3 original Bethel Morris Farley paintings, artwork by Tal Sampson, photographs from two pre 1919 female photographers (Benedicte Wrensted, Mary Garvey), our whimsy sculpture army by Mel Jackson about the grounds, and more. The Shady Lady at 655 N. Arthur will be showing Vintage Asian Advertising Prints.
American Family Insurance, 427 N. Main, Ste A, will be showing art by Darryl Allen
Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main, will feature “Vacation Vistas” and a wonderful display of painted porcelain by the Porcelain Artists of Southeast Idaho.
Katz Kreationz 362 N. Main invites you to see the remodeling they have done. Featured artist will be Kat herself, with some of her unique one of a kind creations.
First National Bar, 232 W. Center, Featured artist this week is Spencer Williams! Stick around for Vinyl night with Dj D’Beau!
Gate City Fine Art Gallery, 315 W. Center, will host local artist.
Deckadence Board Shoppe, 326 W. Center, will be hosting, Addison from Anchor Graffiti. Addison is a local, up-and-coming Graffiti artist who will be displaying artwork that she has done on several skateboard decks using graffiti art supplies that we sell here at the shop.
The Orange and Black Store, 103 S. Main, will be participating in Art Walk. Artist TBD.
